From the first notes that ring out on the guitar, the listener is hit with a sexy, gritty, intense punch of emotion. The haunting quality of the vocals perfectly conveys the story of a manic lover infatuated by her muse. The song represents the broken promises and illusions given to those of us who walk to the ends of the Earth for the ones we love.

"Consider Me Confused was a title and concept that I had stuck in my head for quite some time. One of my writing partners, Paul Sikes (2-time #1 hit songwriter and producer) played the intro riff that you hear almost immediately upon hearing about the concept and title. I really wanted this song to be symbolic and empowering and serve as an almost anti-love anthem. I think the song perfectly captures the anger and uncertainty I felt towards a hesitant lover. I tried to convey this as more of my ego’s response to a deeper wound. For me, the real trauma of this sort of unrequited love was in realizing that “I’ll never have you the way that I want you” because this person isn’t capable of giving me what I need. Some of us ‘bend over backwards’ for those that we love but… that isn’t true nor should it be expected from everyone. I think there’s a sadness to this that really surfaces in the bridge of the song. It’s so special to me because it marks a shift in my style towards more confessional songwriting and I was really able to showcase a lot of my vocal techniques here."
